by our special correspondent: WB CM Ms Mamata Banerjee today addressed a business meet organised by India- Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in association with the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry and the Indian Chambers of Commerce, Kolkata. She urged both the countries to work together. She said, “People of both countries must work together. Let us think about solutions instead of problems. India and Bangladesh had two issues.

One was land boundary. We have solved the issue. The other issue that of the Teesta water, will be solved soon. When one problem has been solved, the other one will be solved too, I believe that. The BJP lashed out at West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee for her proposed “Oust BJP” campaign at the Shahid Diwas rally in Kolkata on Friday.

The BJP mocked Banerjee’s party Trinamool Congress (TMC) for allegedly being “reduced to a signboard” in Tripura, where it had tried to form a larger base. West Bengal BJP President Dilip Ghosh said ” It is very sad that she is using such a holy platforn to promote her mean anti CAA propaganda.” Stepping up the attack against BJP, Banerjee announced that her party would hold an “Oust BJP from India” programme from 9 August to 30 August after alleging that the BJP had “failed on all fronts” including keeping good relations with foreign countries, especially neighbouring ones.
