The City of Joy, decks up in all its glory for this festival. Durga Puja is often referred as the world’s biggest public art festival as its a unique event that mixes tradition with trend and faith with fun & frolic and touches the lives of millions of people.

UNESCO is a specialised agency of the United Nations, aimed at promoting world peace and security through international cooperation in education, art, sciences, and culture. Durga Puja was declared as an intangible cultural heritage of humanity by UNESCO in 2021.
Over five days, between October 11 and 15, 2023, the audience will be exposed to the best of temporary Art installations that come up in Kolkata during Durga Puja.
The five day festival generates crores of transactions, it involves people from all the strata of the society. This festival creates job opportunities for all the stakeholders, ie., the artisans, painters, decorators, the drummers or dhakis and the pujaries who perform worship.
All the stakeholders are rejoicing in this moment of glee. The grand celebration almost spans for 7 days and defines Bengal’s rich cultural heritage. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Mamta Banerjee acclaimed this as a moment of pride.

শহর কলকাতা সহ গোটা বাংলা সেজে ওঠে আলোর রোশনায় এই পুজোর দিনগুলিতে।
দুর্গা পুজো নিয়ে বাঙালির উন্মাদনার শেষ থাকে না। প্রতিটি অলি গলি সেজে ওঠে । প্রতিটি মন্ডপ সেজে ওঠে নতুন থিমে, তাই এই শারদীয়া উৎসবকে শিল্প কলার সবচেয়ে বড়ো উৎসব বলা হয়।
দেশ বিদেশের বহু দর্শক সুদূর থেকে এই মহামিলনের উৎসব দেখতে আসে।
ইউনেস্কো (UNESCO) জাতিসংঘের একটি বিশেষ সংস্থা, বিশ্বে শিক্ষা, বিজ্ঞান ও সংস্কৃতির প্রসার এবং উন্নয়নের মাধ্যমে মানুষের জীবন মানের উন্নয়ন ঘটানো এই সংস্থার কার্যক্রম।
গত ২০২১সালে ইউনেস্কোর (UNESCO) হেরিটেজ তকমা পেয়েছে দুর্গাপুজো । ইউনাইটেড নেশনস এডুকেশনাল, সায়েন্টিফিক অ্যান্ড কালচারাল অর্গানাইজেশনের তরফে তাদের রিপ্রেজেন্টেটিভ লিস্ট অফ ইনট্যানজিবল কালচারাল হেরিটেজের তালিকায় স্থান দিয়েছে এই রাজ্যের সব থেকে বড় উৎসবকে।
এই বছরের ১১-১৫ অক্টোবর, এই ৫ দিন ধরে ইউনেস্কোর প্রতিনিধিরা কলকাতায় আসবেন এবং তাদের সহযোগিতায় হবে এবারের দুর্গাপুজো আর্ট।
দুর্গা পুজোয় সকল শ্রেণীর মানুষের শ্রীবৃদ্ধি হয়। এই পাঁচ ব্যাপী এই বৃহৎ উৎসবের জন্য অপেক্ষা করে মৃৎশিল্পীরা , ঢাকিরা, ডেকোরেটার্সরা, পূজারীরা এবং মা সকলের মুখে সোনার হাসি উপহার দেয়।
আমাদের মাননীয় প্রধানমন্ত্রী ও মাননীয়া মুখ্যমন্ত্রী গর্বিত বোধ করছেন এই স্বীকৃতি পেয়ে।
