Auxilium Convent School, Dum Dum hosted its Annual Sports Meet – Auxi Grande Specttacolo – on 6th December 2025. The Chief Guest, Shri Joydeep Karmakar, Asian Record Holder, Commonwealth Gold Medallist and Visiting Coach of the Indonesian Team, was ushered in with full honours, along with the Guests of Honour — Sr Leelamma Palliparambil, Provincial of the Salesian Sisters of the Kolkata Province, and Shri Harendra Singh, Chairman of Dum Dum Municipality. They were received by the Guard of Honour and the Principal, Sr Aruna Kispotta.
The programme opened with a prayer service, followed by the hoisting of the school flag and the official declaration of the meet by the Chief Guest. The day unfolded with a well-coordinated line-up of events including the March Past, torch relay, oath ceremony, welcome dance, karate and kalaripayattu demonstrations, and an array of vibrant drill displays by the primary section and the four houses. The races for both primary and high school brought moments of spirited competition, where students showcased precision, strength, discipline and teamwork.
In the final tally, Blue House emerged as the overall champion, lifting both the Best House Trophy and the Most Athletic House Trophy for the third consecutive year. Green House secured the Best Disciplined House award, Yellow House won Best Drill, and Red House took the honours for Best March Past.
The event drew to a close on a patriotic note with the National Anthem, marking the end of a day defined by energy, sportsmanship and unity.
