আজ বিশ্ব ফটোগ্রাফি দিবস, . পৃথিবীতে যারা ছবি তুলতে ভালোবাসেন, আজ তাদের দিন। ১৮৩৯ সাল থেকে ১৯ আগস্ট দিনটি ,বিশ্ব ফটোগ্রাফি দিবস world photography day হিসেবে পালিত হয়ে আসছে।
এককথায় ছবির সংজ্ঞা দিতে গেলে, ছবি হলো কোটি শব্দের একটা রূপ। যার বহু অর্থ।
মানুষের মনে কথার থেকে ছবি অনেক বেশি প্রভাব ফেলে। ছবি তোলাটাকে কেউ শখ হিসেবে নেন, আবার অনেকে একেই পেশা হিসেবেও বেছে নিয়েছেন।
World Photography Day is celebrated on August 19 each year. The aim of World Photography Day is to create awareness, share ideas and encourage people to take up photography.
The annual celebration pays tribute to the art of photography and also encourages those who are passionate about it to come together and share their work. It also serves as a motivating day for enthusiasts to pursue photography as a career.
১৮৩৯ সালের ১৯ আগস্ট প্রথম ফরাসি সরকার দিনটি বিশ্ব আলোকচিত্র দিবস world photography day হিসেবে ঘোষণা করে। এবং সেই দিন থেকেই প্রতিবছর বিশ্বজুড়ে উদযাপিত হয় বিশ্ব আলোকচিত্র দিবস, world photography day.
উল্লেখযোগ্য যে, ১৮৩৭ সালে লুইস ড্যাগুইর ও নাইসফোর নিপেক ড্যাগুইর টাইপ ফটোগ্রাফিক সিস্টেম আবিষ্কার করেছিলেন।এই সিস্টেমের নাম ড্যাগুইররিয়ো টাইপ।
World Photography Day 2022: Significance
World Photography Day is a day to celebrate the art and craft of photography and the passion that people have for this genre. The day also recognizes how the purpose of the medium has evolved from documenting historic events to a mode for personal fulfilment and memory creation.
জেনে রাখা প্রয়োজন,বিজ্ঞানী লুইস ড্যাগুইর সর্বপ্রথম ছবি তোলার এই ব্যবহারিক উপায়টি আবিষ্কার করেন। আর তাঁর নাম অনুসারে ছবি তোলার এই উপায়ের নাম দেওয়া হয় ড্যাগুইররিয়ো টাইপ ফটোগ্রাফি।
উল্লেখ করা জরুরি যে, ১৮৩৯ সালের আজকের দিনেই ফ্রান্স সরকার ডাগুয়েরে ফটোগ্রাফি পদ্ধতি পেটেন্ট ক্রয় করে। তারপর থেকে ১৯ আগস্ট দিনটিকে বিশ্ব ফটোগ্রাফি দিবস world photography day হিসেবে বেছে নেওয়া হয়।
World Photography Day: History
The inception of this day dates back to 1837 when Frenchmen Joseph Nicephore Niepce and Louis Daguerre invented the ‘daguerreotype’ which was the world’s first-ever photographic process. Two years later on January 9, 1939, the daguerreotype was officially endorsed by the French Academy of Sciences.
Seven months later on August 19, 1839, the French government is believed to have purchased the patent for the device. They declared the invention of the daguerreotype as a gift to the world making it freely available to all and the day began to be marked as World Photography Day later on.
